Cipro Probably Caused Me to Have Fibromyalgia

by Maggie Mae

I am so distressed reading all of this. Nineteen years ago, I had a hysterectomy and bladder repair. A supra pubic catheter caused a serious UTI. I was prescribed Keflex and Macrobid but had reactions to both. I was then prescribed back to back courses of Cipro.

I felt awful while I was on it, developed ringing in my ears, anxiety, and weakness..then the muscle pain and fibromyalgia symptoms started and never left.

I never recovered, had to eventually stop working and have been on SSD for fourteen years. I doubt if anything could help me or reverse this awful illness after all these years.

I had read before about Cipro causing fibro, and when I mentioned it to my doctor, he said he never heard that..how very sad. I can't say for certain that the Cipro caused all this, but its quite a coincidence.

Many others who attribute their fibromyalgia to the Fluoroquinolones
by: Kerri Knox, RN

There are many others who strongly believe that their fibromyalgia is due to the Fluoroquinolone antibiotics, and I highly agree that there is a certain percentage of people with so called 'Fibromyalgia' that are actually suffering from fluoroquinolone poisoning. Here are a couple of their stories:
