Caffeine relaxes me while diazepam makes me more alert.

For a reason that my Navy doc can't explain stimulants sedate me while sedative and pain killers fill me with energy and insomnia.

I don't mind that an evening coffee helps me sleep but due the degenerative disc disease I have had four spinal surgeries and prescribed the sedatives and pain killers. Thankfully the pain killers reduce the pain but I become wound up.
