Ruptured Calf Muscle After Taking Cipro

by Mike
(St. Pete)

I stuck my leg out to keep my motorcycle from falling over when somebody cut me off about a month or so after taking Cipro. I felt a burning pain in my mid to upper calf, in the middle of the calf muscle complex. This was about 5-11. Now, about 9-11 my gastrocnemius aponeurosis tendon area had a bit of a rupture apparently. My calf is still toast, after about 5 months. Can't do calf-ups or really much with it and it burns pretty much every day (burning pain in the whole calf.) Not sure if it's Cipro or not, I tend to have goofy pains, but never have had a torn tendon or strained tendon as in this case.
