Achilles Tendonitis from Cipro

by Elaine Winter
(salt lake city)

I took cipro for 7 days for a bladder infection and on the 5th day started feeling some bone and joint pain. On the last day I noticed my right achilles tendon felt a little inflamed. I finished the last dose and wish I hadn't becasue it has been 3 days now since I finished and I still notice a little inflammation in my tendon. I had taken it in the past many years ago and never had a problem. What can I do to prevent this from getting worse. Please get back with me.

Achilles Tendonitis from Cipro

Hi Elaine,

Achilles tendonitis from Cipro is a well known problem that you should have been alerted to by your doctor and pharmacist prior to taking this drug. That you were not is 'par for the course' so to speak, since most doctors are not even AWARE of this problem, despite the drug having a FDA Black Box Warning on it, the strongest warning that there is, from the FDA.

However, you knowing now that this drug should not be prescribed for minor infections because of the potential for such problems does not help you, although you might want to talk to a Medical Malpractice Lawyer to see if you have a case. It's free, so you have nothing to lose.

In any case, none of that will help you to get better, and that's what I can help you with- to get better. So it's time to focus on healing and getting better, and my book The Levaquin Tendonitis Solution is really the only solution out there that provides a comprehensive solution to overcoming Levaquin Tendonitis and Toxicity.

I hope that you decide to get the book, follow the protocol and do the best for your body to get on the road to recovery. I look forward to seeing you on the forums and hearing about your progress.
