Allergic to Benadryl

Being allergic to CT Contrasts I was given IV Benadryl, within minutes I was crying, yelling that I didn't know what was happening all I wanted to do was leave the room and go home. The staff including the Dr. said I shouldn't be feeling that way and that it was only Benadryl.

They wheeled me out to my husband who was in the waiting room. He became concerned when he saw me in that condition, crying uncontrollably. After a while I calmed down and agreed to continue with the CT scan.
I do believe I had a Paradoxical reaction.

I now put on medical forms allergic to IV Benadryl.
