Hyperactive from Benadryl

I underwent surgery and received IV Benadryl. I don't recall exact dose but I felt the med immediately and just couldn't stop talking. I was very hyper.

I'm 36 y.o female. I hated the feeling. It took about 10-15 minutes for me to sleep. The oral Benadryl 25mg knocks me out and stays in my system for over 12hours.
