Paradoxical effect of Benzodiazapine in healthy Senior

Seriously bad reaction to small(.25mg) dose Lorazapam used to aid sleep for 10 years. Stopping it suddenly prior to surgery (good outcome). Upon restarting, started anxiety attacks and abdominal pain.Went to Internist,GI, Cardio
Endocrin. "all in your head". Psychiat. gave MORE meds.Effexor, anti psychotic. Changed Loraz. to Clonazapam. Became zombie.No help from docs! Weaned myself thru 1 year of horrendous. Bear suicidal DT-like withdrawal,cross reaction to statins and BP meds made worse.Now OK.
